Meet the presenter
Joan Laureano
Joan Laureano is a fashion accessories designer, manufacturer, and exporter. She created the Catholic devotional jewelry brands KRYSTALOS and DEVOZIONI, available worldwide at KRYSTALOS.NET and DEVOZIONI.COM. Her brands have a presence in 14 countries, including the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, the EU, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
She is the only representative of the Creative Industries to win the Made in Puerto Rico Exporter of the Year Award and the Export Achievement Award from the US Department of Commerce. DEVOZIONI was named one of the “Ten Best Catholic Gifts” by the Catholic Marketing Network. She was also recognized as an Outstanding Hispanic Manufacturer by the US Department of Commerce and featured as a US business success story by the US Census Bureau, SBA, and NAM.
Joan was appointed to the Puerto Rico Private Sector Task Force by Congresswoman Jennifer González and is the only creative professional named to the Puerto Rico District Export Council by the US Department of Commerce. She now presides over the Council and leads Trade DNA Puerto Rico, an initiative bringing export education to university students, fostering key partnerships between academia, the private sector, and the federal government.
