Honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Happy May and more importantly Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to our wegg® community and beyond! This annual time of acknowledgment and celebration of AAPI people worldwide, and in our case, AAPI women entrepreneurs, is an important and meaningful opportunity to spotlight their experiences and contributions in society.
The Federal Asian Pacific American Council announced that the focus for AAPI Month 2024 is “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation.” In their official press release the FAPAC dove deep into the significance of this theme,
“‘Advancing Leaders Through Innovation,'” pays homage to the visionaries and trailblazers who have shaped our AANHPI history and continue to influence our collective future. Innovation, resilience, and a pioneering spirit are cornerstones of American leadership. AANHPI leaders have made lasting contributions to our Nation’s economic prosperity, technological advancements, and social/political change through their ingenuity and creativity while navigating significant cultural and systemic barriers.
The FAPAC also published a history of AAPI month, which you can read here. Additionally, below are some more online resources that we suggest our readers check out!
