Hillary Clinton named Melanne Verveer (pictured) as our Ambassador for Global Women’s Issues.

This is a new position, and hopefully Melanne will have the resources and support she needs to carry out her duties and represent our nation to the world on behalf of women and girls.

Her work with Vital Voices (Vital Voices blog)– an organization that invests in women to improve the world – has given her the experience and the contacts to continue to speak out on behalf of women’s rights.
