Happy Women’s Entrepreneurship Day from wegg®!

We are proud to celebrate the 9th annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, which takes place this Friday, November 19th, 2022! The entire month of November is nationally recognized as Entrepreneur Month, with National Entrepreneurs Day falling on November 16th this year. Especially acknowledging the exceptional contributions that women entrepreneurs make to their businesses and the world around them is a priority every day here at wegg®.

This day of admiration is in the service of expanding the outreach of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals for women and girls globally, specifically, “1. No poverty, 2. Quality education, 3. Decent work and economic growth, and 4. Reduced inequalities.”

As the United Nations Development Programme writes in its statement on Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, 

“We cannot afford not to invest in women and girls. We must work together to support and remove barriers to women’s economic recovery and empowerment, and entrepreneurship in its various forms is a powerful catalyst to make this a reality. Entrepreneurship can generate jobs for women and their peers and help them tackle the challenges faced by their communities.”
