Sunday is National Women Support Women Day

As families and communities across the U.S. prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday, our entire wegg® team has been reflecting on our gratitude for all the global women entrepreneurs who make our collective the thriving, supportive, and impactful family that it is. The enrichment and growth that results from women lifting one another up is special. This sentiment is especially pertinent this week, as December 1st is National Women Support Women Day! Levity and sisterhood among women business owners is at the heart of everything we do, and this day of recognition hits home for the wegg community.

This national acknowledgment was crafted by Amy O’Donnell in 2018, and it aims, “to honor influential women across various fields such as arts, politics, and business…The day emphasizes the importance of women supporting each other. It encourages positive reinforcement and mutual support among women, highlighting the benefits of a united front in overcoming challenges.”

A smattering of ways that you can participate in this celebration and commemoration of womanhood and positivity include but are not limited to, supporting women-owned businesses, volunteering for a feminist charity organization, and donating to causes that help women across the world. It is also worth noting that supporting a woman-owned business can be through avenues outside of commerce! Sharing a post to your social media, leaving a glowing review, and referring friends and colleagues to their operations are all lasting ways you can spread the love this coming Sunday!
