Vietnam’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Champions Investment in Women-Led Businesses
Investing in the potential of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs was the primary focus of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (VCCI) 2025 Women Entrepreneurs forum last week in Hanoi. The theme, “Women Entrepreneurs Rising in the New Era”, ushered women owned businesses into “a ‘golden moment’ to break through and seize emerging trends in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, thereby enhancing competitiveness and asserting their position in the global value chain.”
Golden Rose Awards were lauded to “exceptional Vietnamese women…who have made significant contributions to the country’s socio-economic development,” and VCCI chairman, Pham Tan Cong, remarked on the importance and value of such efforts,
“Driven by a strong aspiration for progress, a spirit of innovation, and growing global integration, Vietnam’s community of women entrepreneurs continues to play a pivotal role in the nation’s socio-economic development — contributing to growth, advancing social responsibility, and promoting gender equality.”
Having the support of the VCCI is a significant anchor for the women business owners that make up Vietnam’s financial network. It is heartening that the VCCI serves as, “a trusted partner and a strong bridge between enterprises, the Party, the State, and international partners,” for Vietnamese women entrepreneurs. wegg® hopes that this kind of backing can aid them in taking advantage of the, “critical crossroads: to either remain in traditional roles or to boldly transform themselves into pioneering forces in an era of technology, innovation, and sustainable development,” that Pham Tan Cong described in his opening speech. Forward movement for women in business anywhere is promising traction for women in business everywhere.
