The US Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Africa
The African Women Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) in partnership with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provides professional networking business development and trade capacity building system of opportunities for networks, which will assist female entrepreneurs across sub-Saharan Africa in relation to their businesses. In Africa, women are the backbone of communities and the country’s greatest potential to unlocking economic growth as they provide the majority of labor with the least amount of resources.
For her part AWEP chairperson, Chigedze Chinyepi encouraged women in businesses to take advantage of the programme in order to develop their businesses and mindset.
The partnership is expected to bring positive results in changing lives and businesses of women entrepreneurs in Maun and the surrounding areas.
