Black History Month 2026
“The success of every woman should be an inspiration to another. We should raise each other up.”
– Serena Williams
Happy Black History Month from wegg®! This year is the centennial celebration of this month of recognition, as reported by the National Museum of African American History & Culture, “For 100 years, the nation has recognized the achievements and contributions of Black Americans, and their place in American history during the month of February. In 1926, Carter G. Woodson established the first Negro History Week, aligning it with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, to highlight African American contributions to society.”
