WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS GROW GLOBAL® ADDS CHICAGO EXPERT IMPORTERS PRESIDENT LINDA BI AS BOARD MEMBER
Chicago – April 29, 2021: Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global® (wegg®)—a Chicago-based nonprofit organization with a mission to educate, inspire and nurture women business owners and entrepreneurs worldwide—added Chicago Expert Importers President Linda Bi as a board member, wegg President Laurel Delaney announced today.
“Linda successfully grew her company into a sourcing, import logistics, warehousing and distribution full package service provider boasting a 120,000 square feet warehouse,” Delaney said. “With decades of experience, Linda’s insight in international business will help aspiring women entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and bring positivity to globalization.”
Bi will work with other wegg® board members to help set the organization’s goals and objectives, ensure adequate resources to advance its mission, provide insight and expertise and seek women business owners who desire to expand their businesses globally—being chief evangelists for wegg® whenever possible.
“I am honored to join wegg® as a board member, and look forward to help give members an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other,” Bi said.
Bi joins an extraordinary group of women business owners and entrepreneurs on wegg®’s board, including Delaney, Hannah Slaughter, Lori Novak, Elizabeth (Ela) W. Baio, Molly Bañuelos, Mara Hedgecoth, Nancy Slack Stachnik, Genevra Knight, Susan Meyer and Kati Suominen.
wegg® is dedicated to helping women-led and women-owned business owners to never stop pushing boundaries. To help educate, inspire and nurture women business owners and entrepreneurs, wegg® recently launched the “How She Went Global®” podcast series— an interview-based platform that tells the stories of women-owned and women-led small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have grown sales and revenues by exporting their products and services. It is designed to appeal to those who want to gain an education on going global, stay informed about new ways to take on the world, get motivated, be inspired and have fun—on a monthly basis.
All episodes of “How She Went Global”—sponsored for a year by Bluedog, a Chicago-based women-owned Certified B global innovation, strategy and design firm—are available on Apple iTunes, Podomatic, and Spotify, and will also be shared on social media through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
